Hi,
I understand this question has been asked over a million times already however has the method changed from over a decade ago?
If so is there a smart or less risky way of doing so? I understand TV's gotten lighter over the decade however command strips cant still be used on them lol.
The wall is dot and dab plasterboard on brick wall. Are the supplied fixings with the mount/bracket good enough on most of these products nowadays?
If not which fixings is recommend to buy separately? I am after fixings that are easy to use, reliable etc. and don't mind paying a bit extra for these for peace of mind you know what I mean. I won't be able to sleep at night knowing that I used cheap flimsy supplied wall plugs lol.

I have dot and dab walls and have struggled with heavier items. Personally, I'd either find fixings to go through the plasterboard into the wall or remove part of the plasterboard and screw wooden batons to the bricks behind then screw tv brackets to them0

I've used these to hang a mirror that weighs three times what a tv weighs on a dot and dab wall.

They are excellent and easy to install.
No idea if they would be suitable for a tv, in terms of shape, though.0 -
Basic rawl plugs and screws will do fine if you're going into the block; if there's enough of a gap for hollow wall anchors then those are generally fine.0

These fixings are designed for dot & dab walls: https://www.corefixed.com/The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0
