I got chikd tax credit and child benefit for my daughter up until she was 20, as she was in full time education, my 16 year old is now starting college and the same applies for her, they can't claim their own, they are also covered by your medical exemption if you have one.
My eldest daughter got the Bursary from college, and my younger one has applied, they also received free bus passes, and the older one got free meals. I think that's up to the college.
I work and get working tax credits it definatley pays to work in my case.0
