Indian Weather Forecast Music for English Funeral

My MIL (now 97) spent the early 1960's in India - her husband was in the UN. This period in her life had a significant impression on her life - she frequently recalls it.
I have been discussing her wishes for her funeral in a positive way. She wants a piece if music to mark this period of her life and has asked for the music that introduced the Indian Weather Forecast at this time.
Well MSE'ers - can anyone rise to the challenge ? I suspect it won't be in the crematorium library of music so I will need a download.

Perhaps this would be easier if it was broken down into chunks.
Which state in India was your MIL in? I'm imagining something similar to our old regional tv stations... Was it a radio or tv broadcast? As her husband was in the UN perhaps was it a special forces/military type broadcast? Was the BBC active over there at that time? Perhaps see if they'll dig through their archives if so?
What an interesting post, I hope you find the answer!
Just thought - have you put this on facefook? This is exactly the kind of thing that works best when people share the h3ll out of it

Indian Embassy? BBC World Service? Might be worth asking both.0

She was in Cawnpore (now Kanpur) in North India.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

Did Cawnpore/Kanpur have it's own radio/tv stations (presuming local, like Granada tv type thing)? Is there some way to get in touch with them?
I'd be doing facefook first tbh. It's a few years since I was on it but I remember our town had it's own page called "This is town name". Perhaps posting on a town's/city's page that has a large established Indian community would be successful?
Ooh just thought - are there any friends/work collegues that were out there at the same time? Perhaps they loved the tune too and have already solved your problem!"One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate change policy is environmental policy. I'd be seeing if anyone on TripAdvisor can help, a local expert there was brilliant when I was looking for some distant relatives, took it on like a personal challenge.

Thank you all for your suggestions.
Further conversations today have clarified the request - she means the BBC Shipping Forecast ! That should be easier to find a download of. The Indian aspect will be a bit of Ravi Shankar.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
Ha ha haa! The shipping forecast!
I'm gonna have that tune in my head all s0dding night now

If i recall correctly, it's called Sailing By.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Many funeral establishments use Wesley Media to handle their music downloads and licencing. Wesley have Sailing By by Perry Gardner Orchestra, which I think is the broadcast version, and the BBC issued it as a single in 1973 on its own BBC Records label, played by the John Fox Orchestra, which is also on Wesley.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0
