CP PLUS Service Station PCN - Coupon-mad, please read

Hi All,

About a month ago I was hit with a PCN from CP PLUS for overstaying a service station car park by 42 minutes. My flight home from a business trip was delayed so long that I was driving through the night and had to stop for small naps as I could feel myself falling asleep.

I followed the newbies post by coupon-mad and thought I was going to be in for a long but interesting fight but how wrong was I.......Today I received this email:

'Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your correspondence relating to your Parking Charge Notice (PCN).

Further to your representations, we have investigated your claims and can confirm that your Notice has subsequently been cancelled in full and no further action will be taken.

CP PLUS LIMITED'

Just wanted to extend my thanks and gratitude to coupon-mad and other members for this great source of information and saving people money by fighting back on these scam parking companies. If anyone is going through this right now, follow the newbies guide to the letter, you won't go far wrong from there :T:T:j

Well done, now take things furhter and complain to your local MP, and anyone else.
You stopped for safety reasons, however the way tings are at the moment is that MSAs would prefer to have a major crash with potential loss of life caused by a tired driver.
The two hour limit is ridiculous and should be upped somewhat ( 5-6 hours?) which wouldn't be long enough for people to use MSAs as park and rides ( one of the excuses they trot out for the limit)

complain to all you can, ask why MSAs are using ANPR equipment when local authorities are prohibited from doing the same.
And if you dig a little deeper, form my understanding you may find something fishy about the whole PPCs infesting Motorway services business - which has been touched on on here in the past
