Since the TabMixPlus add-on stopped working in Firefox, I've found it really hard to identify (at a glance) which tab is active. TabMixPlus let you change the colour of the active tab, so it really stood out against the others.

I've managed to modify the userChrome.css file to enable multi-row tabs (another feature from TabMixPlus), but I can't seem to find a way to change the colour of the active tab.

I've googled and found lots of userChrome.css code snippets, but none of them work -- presumably they were for pre-Quantum versions of Firefox(?).

I try to limit the number of add-ons I install these days, so I'd prefer to find a solution by modifying the userChrome.css file. It must be possible, right?! :-D

Has anyone found a solution to this problem? :)
