I have a bit of patching up to do on my worn and weary lawn and in mistake I bought a bag of this (see link below) a couple of days ago instead of normal compost,
so would it be ok to use it to reseed my lawn.
One other thing a few days ago I gave the lawn a covering of Westland feeder/moss/weed killer would this hinder the new grass growth

  • The seed compost is fine for the job. Not ideal that you weed and fed it first but it will be ok. Just make sure you have thoroughly watered it In

Topsoil is best for lawn seed rather than compost, but it'll do the job as JAG says. I'd want to make sure the lawn was thoroughly soaked at least once a few days before sowing any new seed to dissolve the weed killer.
