european breakdown cover?

hi, travelling to france for a few days by car, been looking for breakdown cover and cannot decide.
any recommendations or what to avoid would be welcome.
have found co-op (axa) to be a reasonable quote, as its quite cheaper than the main ones. aa, greenflag etc
if you have had this though co-op (axa) would you recommend it

Have you tried ADAC, the german auto club. English website, UK and Europe cover. Apparently very good, and not so expensive. Worth a look.

We have only used the main ones, but always use quidco to bring the price down.

Check what they cover. Some will give you a courtesy car for your holiday if youre breakdown within the week before you go. Do they all bring your car back to the UK if it can't easily be repaired? I don't know how else they might differ but for cost of a few pounds a more expensive policy could save you more of anything happens.
