Bosch Washing Machine complaint

Options
Afternoon all,
Bought a Bosch washer dryer a couple years ago for £650 and its already had two major faults, the drum bearing have broke and now we have had a motherboard problem. the 2 year Warranty ran out last Friday and luckily it broke on the Thursday so they are in the middle of fixing it right now.

my question is surely they have sold me a defective machine if its had 2 manufacturer faults already and if it goes wrong next month I'm facing a big bill. I'm not sure how to word my complaint to them so any help would be appreciated,

Many thanks

Jed

Who is the who ? The retailer I guess.

    How did you pay ?
  • I bought it from Currys on a credit card, but I assumed I'd complain to Bosch directly?

Order of complaints I would use

    Retailer
    Credit card Co
    Bosch

Try the retailer first, you might get lucky and they do something about it or speak to the card company, but you may be asked to get a report done.
  • If you are hoping to get a new machine out of this, dream on. Once Bosch have fixed it you will have a working machine, so nothing to complain about unless it goes wrong again.
  • I was hoping for them to extend the warranty maybe, it shouldn't break twice within 2 years of being brand new!

It doesn't work like that. Fitting new parts does not extend the warranty. Bosch have no liability beyond the 2 years warranty. Beyond that your remedy, if any, is with DSG. But, 2 years in, you would have to prove a pre-existing fault, which you will have to finance yourself to get an engineer's report.
