HSBC . Mortgage and port over inside 4 weeks?

Hi,

We have offered on a property thats up for sale as a builders part exchange and we need to complete within 4-5 weeks. Both the builders and buyers of our property have asked for this.

We need an extra £25k and arrange our existing mortgage to be transferred over.HSBC are just saying there are no guarantees but will try there best.

Has anyone any tips to make sure it goes through in time?

Regards

Baz

If after 4 weeks, it looks like the mortgage offer is going to take another week, your builders and buyers are unlikely to drop out. Everyone sets out with ggod intentions and then delays occur.

To keep things moving quickly have your payslips, bank statements & mortgage statements copied and ready to send. Make sure your solicitor knows you want to move quickly, searches can take a few weeks so they need to be applied for.

    Hi,

Searches have been done as part of hip. All the mortgage info is in, but they came back asking for credit card statements to prove balances.

    Fingers crossed
