Hi there me and my wife reserved a new build house early April this year due for completion 19th October, we got a mortgage with Natwest, we exchanged contracts with builder payed our 5% deposit and paid for mortgage reservation fee and searches etc now awaiting completion. My credit history is excellent pretty much spot on to be fair however on 7th of August I payed My Tesco credit card on time though the minimum payment was £25.37 and I paid £25.00 I cannot explain how it happened I just did I was in town with the giro slip and I made a mistake I was suffering from a severe ear infection not sure if that had any influence but who knows.... I normally pay on the app but my phone was away being repaired, I then received a letter from Tesco saying I got a late payment charge of £12 of course I immediately rang them explained and he repayed the £12 back to the card and I asked if a late payment charge/mark would show on my credit score he said no but It would just show money in/out..... phew did I dodge a bullet or not I'm now finding it hard to relax at home wife getting frustrated with me as I'm fretting.... I contacted my mortgage advisor who said he can't see it being a big issue and that they rarely do a credit check at completion anyway what are your guys thoughts on this I'm not up on how companies record errors etc

I don't know about the credit card payment but writing "payed" through an entire question when the work is paid distracted me so much that I lost the thread of what you were saying.0

Oh the blessed irony :rotfl:
OP - I think you should be fine, I've had a whoopsie like that with a late payment once and I called them as soon as I realised. I didn't get a poor mark on my file for it.0 -

What Cakeguts is saying is 'payed' is a very niche nautical word, so no phone software would predict or correct to it...
That is my only contribution, I'd perhaps ring Tesco and ask nicely if they could help you.0 -
I accept that but the point is this person has highlighted my error but then went onto making a error themselves..... pot kettle black springs to mind that's all, I highly doubt this person uses txt language then???? Which we all know is short fabricated rubbish like alot of the short term meanings used on this site?
If you are not willing to help and discuss and stay on topic don't comment.0 -
I think the general point being made is that if you don't punctuate, it becomes a wall of text and most people won't bother reading it.
The typos I can cope with.No free lunch, and no free laptop
