It's not confusing. It simply requires a methodical and logical approach. Note down each issue and as it is resolved, tick it off.

You need to contact the CRAs and update/correct the information.

The one thing you really need to do is simply pay everything on time. Some of the micro-management you read about on here simply isn't necessary.

    That's the spirit!

If there are anomalies on your credit files, raise a dispute with the CRAs.

The addresses are not likely to be a significant issue though.

If you're beginning to lose all hope already, 2 years before you even get started, what will you be like when you start applying for mortgages and putting in offers? Get some therapy!!"

Haha, you're right, I'm probably overreacting. It just seems an absolute mountain ahead of me. I guess I was very naive in thinking its just a case of saving and applying. My latest discovery does have me pretty stressed though

Wait to you start looking for a flat/house and you struggle to get what you want because you can't afford it/don't like anything you've seen and when you do you have to compete with other buyers, sitting sweating to see if your offer has been accepted and when it is hoping the seller doesn't pull out.

You don't know what stress is yet!:D
