Police to check driver's eysight

I do not legally need to wear glasses for driving, but I do, as I work on the basis of if I’m going at 70mph I’d like to see the best that I can. When I first started wearing glasses (very low prescription) I was shocked at how low minimum uncorrected eyesight requirement for driving is. Personally, I would like the have mandatory eye tests at least every 10 years, the eyesight test made harder, and far more awareness of the consequences of driving with poor eyesight.0

I don't understand the mentality of getting glasses of a different strength to that prescribed by an optician. This doesn't make your vision better...0
