I was in the middle of registering for noddle and was disturbed to find they want my bank card details inc card and CVV number. Surely this can't be right??
I only want to register so that I can see if something I corrected with Experian can be changed here too

I think they use the card as part of their method to confirm your ID. I don't believe any money is taken from it...

Yes its for identification purposes, otherwise anyone using your name could access your credit file couldn't they, make sense now ?
Only you would be in possession of your debt card, hence why they ask for your details, all perfectly normal and above board.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. As above, no money is taken, it's confirm your identity, Without your card details anyone could sign up in your name.

Thanks - makes sense - I'm just wary about any sites asking for this kind of info0

Hmm, when I was registering on Noddle, I think it was saying "no credit card needed". So I thought they no longer use cards for identification. Maybe you looked too suspicious to them? :-)0
