  • My partner is in France next weekend, the weekend after I am then away and for those 2 weekends we have no family from either side to help us with the move. Personally I think my partner is being stubborn but I see his point.

    As you've already highlighted, there's nothing to stop you completing on 14th, and then moving on 28th.

    Again, as someone else mentioned, offer a compromise date of 21st, and see how that goes.

    There's a time for being stubborn, and a time for focusing on the bigger picture.
