We moved to be near the in laws last year. I got diagnosed with breast cancer not long afterwards. We moved In with the in laws as a temp measure because would of been a nightmare looking at houses to let etc back when we lived Bristol. Problem is we had to spend all savings on transport etc as my hospital is a 20 mile trip so was a 40 mile trip all round. So with going for chemo once a week, having scans, 2 ops and the radiotheorphy everyday after the chemo all savings are gone. Has been a year since we've moved here now. We cant buy a house as we have a iva, which should be finished this November. My husband works but I don't as I suffer bad fatigue etc at the moment and still recovering from all treatment. I am in remission thankfully . We cant get help with council/ housing association as not many where we live at the moment as we moved to help look after my father in law, so need to be near them. We don't have the money now to try and private let as they won't allow pets etc and I can't face moving in somewhere and the told to move after 6 months. As had that a few times back in Bristol. I really don't know what to do. As it's getting to much living with the in laws now for them and us. As it's four of us , though will be three when eldest goes back to uni.. would love our own home but I know this probably won't happen. I just don't know what to do. Help and advice needed

Glad to hear you're in remission.
I think owning your own home will be off the cards for now, until you are better and have savings to help with the deposit / fees / moving costs etc.
Have you tried looking at renting but on a longer tenancy agreement (2 years for example) as opposed to 6 months?
There are lots of landlords out there that will accept pets, its just about finding them, speak with letting agents and state straight away what you are looking for to see if they can help find a match, from there id start to try save where possible for a deposit if you have aspirations of owning.
But for now id concentrate on getting out of the in laws for your own sanity and getting your health 100% back.0
