I don't know if anyone will be able to help me on this or not. I have had a tomtom go 510 for about 7 months and when i switch it on it stays on for 5 seconds and switches itself off.
The tomtom website isn't very helpful but i have tried updating it and also restoring to a backup copy i made but nothing works. I took it to halfords to told me it needs charging, well i charged it overnight and it is still the same.
Has anyone got any ideas?

Under waranty, take it back to shop and ask them and get it replaced.0

Don't know if a reset would help. There should be a small pinhole on it into which you could insert (in my case a WOODEN tothpick). It may do the trick .0

I bought a Tom Tom earlier this year and had a problem with it, it would not start after a period of inactivity. I took it back to Halfords who insisted on sending it back to Tom Tom when I got it back it still was not working, so they re-loaded it. I switched it on later that evening and again it would not work.
I went straight back to Halfords and asked for a refund, they would not refund the cash but did give me a new one......which to date is working ok. I switch it on occasionally when I amnot using it and also make sure that it never discharges, this can wipe the card apparently.
Take it back to Halfords.Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
halfrauds had no right to treat you like that. the law is very clear, the retailer is responsible not the maker.
and you can demand a refund or a replacement. only ever accept a repair as a last resort.Get some gorm.0 -
