Hi folks,
I like Sandboxie for safer browsing and trying some new programes sandboxed, and while Sandboxie runs well for me in windows 7, no such luck in windows 10.
Does anyone happen to know of a similar programme like Sandboxie that is free?
Many thanks.

It is meant to work with Win 10. Have you tried reporting your problems on their forum? They are very helpful because I have reported problems myself.
They will probably be able to get it working if you post about how things are working/not working.0 -
it is different but can do a similar function. VirtualBox and use the snapshot feature.
Think commodo have a free sandbox too in one of their product.
Ther thare are those product which on boot role back your machine to a preset state. One free on is commodo utility, some ptoduct that ends in ???RX, and the one that cost is deep freeze.0 -
I have been using Sandboxie for the last eight years with very few problems, albeit on Windows 7.
Does the following from Sandboxie's "Known Conflicts" help?Windows 10 Metro (tile) apps and Edge Web browser
Problem: Edge browser or metro apps will not work in sandboxie v5+.
Solution: None at this time. Otherwise, Windows 10 and Sandboxie v5+ is compatible with each other. Older versions of Sandboxie are not compatible at all with Windows 10.
Solution:If you fail to change your Windows 10 default web browser (Edge) and you click on "run browser sandboxed" Sandboxie will automatically load IE 11 (which is included in Windows 10.) (You must use SBIE Version 5+ with Windows 10, any version before v5 will NOT work with Windows 10.)
Please visit the forum for current updates in regards to Windows 10. http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/0 -
Thanks well saved Edge as Default browser but latest Sandboxie still wants to open IE.
As I was using Hotpoint Shield at the same time, maybe that had something to do with windows 10 more or less locking up afterwards, folders not opening etc.
Luckily I have plenty of Acronis Images to restore.
After trying lots of things, I have now decided to use Chrome, just right clicking on it and running sandboxed in Sandboxie.
So far so good...0
