Default on Noodle

So i have had a number of defaults fall off my account a couple of months ago (checked via experian)

I have just checked the report on Noodle, and yes, all but 1 have fallen off my account.

The 1 that is still on there, is one that i disputed the date (3 years after the others), and they agreed with me, and removed it straight away (in June).

It is still saying the default date was 2015 (instead of 2012), and that particular entry was last updated in May

Do I need to contact the creditors again to ensure they update my file with all agencies?

  • Hi,

Use the ICO quoted text in post #4 of the linked thread below, to support your case with your creditor, as to why the default date should change:

  • Yes. If they’ve removed it from all other CRA’s except Call Credit/Transunion then you need to contact them and ask them to remove it.

In fact is it still listed on Experian and Equifax as well?

Gary, it is not on Experian. Not sure about others, other than noodle.
I would have thought that once it's off one, it's off all...

Gary is saying that you need to check with all three CRAs and not just Noddle (TransUnion ex CallCredit) and Experian, to make sure that all your credit accounts and defaults are being reported correctly. :)

Have you checked your Equifax file?

    well well well

I have just opened an equifax account, and the default is still there.

Why on earth would they just remove from experian and not others?
  • Human error.
