Halifax Mortgage Application...

Hi everyone,
I have posted on this forum before worrying about getting a mortgage and I’ve read through so many different posts on here from many others like myself. Myself and my husband are now at the mortgage application stage!!
Bit of background info:
We are both first time buyers and fell in love with a new build property from Bellway, priced at £318,995 (due to be finished Jan/Feb 19). We are using a broker and were offered an agreement in principle with Halifax instantly. We have a £43k deposit which we have saved for over the past 2 years and we’ve also received a quarter of that from parents as a gift. We have now chosen our mortgage with our broker and they submitted the full application to Halifax on Friday 31st August (we had already provided all documents and paperwork that they required). That evening the broker called to say “Halifax were happy with everything” and were just waiting to book in the valuation and she would call within a couple of days to let us know when this would be.
Does this mean that the application has been approved subject to valuation? Does anyone else have experience of applying for a mortgage with Halifax? I’ve read lot so of posts on here to say they are quite quick at processing. We have until 28th September to exchange contracts.
Thanks

If the broker has called Halifax and gone over initial checks after submitting the application, the income evidence is uploaded, checked and verified and the valuation is instructed.I am a mortgage broker. Hi we are currently going through application process with Halifax, from what I understand if a valuation is instructed then you have passed their initial checks
Our valuation has come back with no probs but they are now requesting a bank statement from myself to show my pay going into my account as my pay slip had our house number down as 8 instead of 80. I provided this last wed and haven't heard anything yet so am hoping there isn't a problem now as everything has been pretty quick and efficient up to this point.
Good luck with your application x0 -

Had our approval this morning!!!
Once your valuation has been carried out you should hear within a few days. Good luck xxx0 -
That’s great news! Our broker called this morning and left a voicemail saying the same thing she said on Friday “Halifax are really happy with everything and we are just waiting for the valuation date and will let you know when that is when we have it”. So just a waiting game now I guess!0

Bellway will know the valuation date before anyone else.
The surveyor will have to call them for access and they will arrange the date.I am a mortgage broker.
