Terms and Conditions for ‘Win Global Exposure with DHL and Leicester City Football Club’
PROMOTER
The promoter is DHL International (UK) Ltd, Southern Hub, Unit 1, Horton Road, Colnbrook, Berkshire, SL3 0BB (‘DHL’), in partnership with Leicester City Football Club (‘LCFC’).
COMPETITION PERIOD
Applications for ‘Win Global Exposure with DHL and Leicester City Football Club’ open on Wednesday 27 August 2018 at 12pm UK time.
The time frame between applications opening to the announcement of the winner on w/c Monday 29 October 2018 shall be referred to as the “Competition Period”.

Applications received after Sunday 30 September 2018 shall not be accepted. DHL reserves the right to amend the Competition Period at its sole discretion.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for the Competition, entrants must comply with the following criteria:
Company Registration Entrants must be authorised representatives of an incorporated company registered with Companies House in the United Kingdom.
Company Size
Small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) which meet two out of the following three characteristics:
a) A turnover of less than £25m;
b) A maximum of 250 employees employed in the business;
c) Total gross assets of less than £12.5m.
Documentation
If requested entrants must provide the following:
• Proof of identification;
• Copy of valid Certificate of Incorporation issued by Companies House in the UK;
• Copy of utility service or other recurring bill in the name of the company, reflecting the trading address of the small business;
Any documentation requested and submitted will be destroyed within 30 days of confirmation of identity.
Additional criteria
• The business must sell directly to consumers online (ecommerce), either selling exclusively online (‘pure play’) or through a combination of physical stores and online sales (‘clicks and bricks’).
• Entrants must be authorised to legally bind the company;
• The business must be in good standing as of the date of submission and must remain so for 3 months following the conclusion of the Competition Period;
• Not a franchised business.
• Not a subsidiary or affiliate of a non-UK based entity.
• The company is not insolvent, the subject of any order or resolution for its administration, winding-up or dissolution, does not have an administrative or other receiver, manager, trustee, liquidator, administrator or similar appointed, does not enter into any composition or arrangement with its creditors and is in good financial standing.
DHL shall use its sole discretion as to whether an entrant meets the eligibility criteria to participate in the Competition. DHL’s decisions regarding an entrant’s eligibility, and all other aspects of the Competition, are final and binding.
DHL, its parent and affiliated companies, and each of their respective, officers, directors, employees, agents and persons engaged in the development, production or distribution of materials for this Competition (collectively, the “Competition parties”) and the immediate family members (i.e., parent, child, sibling, and spouse) of each and/or persons living in the same household of such individuals (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate in the Competition.
This Competition is subject to all applicable laws and regulations of England and Wales, and is void in all geographic locations other than the United Kingdom and where otherwise prohibited by law.
No purchase is necessary.
COMPETITION PRIZE
Prize elements will be spread across four (4) LCFC first team home matches taking place during November 2018 and December 2018 (“the Matches”).
Please note that any of the Matches may be subject to change due to circumstances beyond DHL’s control. Any changes in dates or times of Matches will be notified to the Winner at DHL’s earliest possible convenience.
Across the Matches, the Winner will receive:
Advertising elements – Winner represented alongside DHL:
i. 5 minutes of pitch-facing LED banner advertising during the Matches;
ii. 1 x social media post on LCFC’s official LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter pages, published between November 2018 and December 2018.
iii. A 30-60 second Stadium TV commercial to be played three times (pre-match/half-time/post-match) on the giant stadium video screen.
iv. 1 x full-page colour advert in the Match programmes.
v. 1 x promotional email sent to LCFC’s customer database.
Hospitality passes
vi. 2 x Hospitality passes for employees of the Winner to attend 1 of the Matches as guests of DHL.
Hereafter referred to as the “Prize.”
All branding and editing will be DHL led. All necessary artwork will be created at DHL’s expense and is subject to the approval of both DHL and LCFC.
Elements (i),(ii),(iii), (iv), (v) and (vi) are subject to the Winner engaging with authorised representatives of DHL, LCFC and their 3rd party suppliers in the required time frames to ensure that such media, designs, and video meet the minimum technical and design requirements (as set out by DHL and LCFC). The Winner must comply with any reasonable requirements specified by DHL, LCFC or their 3rd party suppliers.
HOW TO ENTER
To enter the Competition, entrants are required to visit one of two Competition websites located at https://www.dhlbusinesslive.co.uk/ and https://parcel.dhl.co.uk/ (the “Competition Sites”) to submit their entry. Applications will be treated equally regardless of which Competition Site the entry is submitted on.
A DHL account is not required to enter the Competition.
Entrants will be required to provide responses to a number of questions together with submitting details of their company, as detailed above.
Questions will include, but may not be limited to, the following:
1. Tell us about your ecommerce business, including your products and the channels you use to sell them.
2. What is your current international strategy? What challenges have you faced on your international export journey?
3. How would this global exposure help your business?
The narrative responses of the Entry must be no more than 500 words per question.
In addition to answering the questions listed above, each of the entrants will be required to submit the following information:
The Business
• Registered company name
• Registered office address
• Company Website address
The Applicant
• Name of applicant
• Role within the business
• Business Email Address
• Contact Number
There is a limit of one (1) entry per business.
All entries are subject to approval by DHL and LCFC, at their sole discretion.
Except where prohibited, entry in the Competition constitutes each entrant’s consent to the publication of her/his/its name, organizational information and completed entry, including Digital Images, (to the extent applicable) in any media for any commercial or promotional purpose (including, without limitation, the Internet), without further compensation. Entrants warrant that they are the owner or licensee of all intellectual property and other rights in the images, video and other information submitted to DHL. Entrants shall fully indemnify and keep DHL indemnified from and against all losses, claims, damages, liabilities, fees and expenses (including all reasonable legal fees) suffered or incurred by DHL arising out of or in connection with any infringement or alleged infringement of any intellectual property rights of any third party as a result of the entrant’s submission of or DHL use or possession of any images, videos or other information provided to DHL by or on behalf of the entrant. Entrants grant DHL a non-exclusive, worldwide, non-terminable, royalty free licence to use, modify, adapt, make available, publish and distribute all images, video and other information in any media as DHL deems necessary to organise, administer, promote or otherwise perform the Competition in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
By submitting information as part of this Competition you expressly agree to authorise DHL and its subsidiaries to use such information for the purposes of administering the Competition as well as to use the information in connection with the Competition. Information concerning Data Protection is provided below. However, DHL will comply with all mandatory applicable laws and regulations concerning data protection and privacy.
JUDGING PERIOD
DHL may in its sole discretion consider the following in determining the Winner:
• How the entrant proposes to use the advertising elements to drive online sales;
• How the entrant plans to grow its business and go global;
Consideration will also be given to (and not limited to):
• Sustainable business practice;
• Positive impact on the community;
• How well the entrants’ values align with those of DHL (Viewable here) and LCFC.
During the Judging Period, the Top 12 entries will be chosen by DHL or its designated representatives and narrowed down to the Winner. DHL or its designated representatives shall decide the Winner at its sole discretion and its decision shall be final and binding.
PRIZE ACCEPTANCE
Following the conclusion of the Judging Period, the Winner will be notified by email and by phone using the contact information provided at entry. The Winner will have 72 hours to confirm acceptance of the Prize.
The Winner will be required, as instructed by DHL, to complete and sign documentation relating to the Prize as the DHL may reasonably require. Failure to sign and return any of these documents or to comply with any of these Terms & Conditions may result in disqualification, the forfeiture of its interest in the Prize, and, at DHL’s discretion, the presentation of the Prize to a substitute recipient. A prize not won and/or claimed and not awarded to a substitute recipient by DHL in accordance with these Competition Rules will remain the sole property of DHL.
The Winner may waive its right to receive the Prize.
The Prize is non-transferable. DHL reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised Prize becomes unavailable.
All Prize details not specified herein shall be determined solely by DHL. By accepting the Prize the Winner acknowledges compliance with these Terms & Conditions.
Prize conditions and these Terms & Conditions may be added or modified by DHL, at its sole discretion without notice.
Acceptance of the Prize constitutes permission for the winner hereby grant DHL and its affiliates a worldwide, royalty free, 1 year licence to use the winner’s name, photographs, entry material, other likenesses and biographical information for advertising, promotional or trade purposes, including but not limited to online announcements, in commerce and in all media worldwide without limitation or additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
Following acceptance of the Prize, the Winner will be announced on https://www.dhlbusinesslive.co.uk and https://www.lcfc.com, on DHL social media channels and in a media release issued by DHL and LCFC.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances, DHL reserves the right to withdraw the Competition at its own discretion at any time without providing any notice.
DISQUALIFICATION
Should DHL determine, at its sole discretion, that an Entrant has violated any of the clauses contained in these Terms & Conditions, or should be disqualified for any other reason, DHL shall have no obligation to allow the Entrant to continue to participate in the Competition. DHL reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the Competition; to be acting in violation of these Terms & Conditions; or to be acting in a manner which is detrimental to the business or reputation of DHL or its affiliates.
DHL reserves the right to reject and/or disqualify any entries, subjects, or related materials that DHL believes may violate any applicable law or regulation or the rights of any third party or may subject the Competition, DHL, or DHL’s affiliates, clients, or customers to controversy, negative publicity, scorn, or ridicule.
As a condition of entry, DHL reserves the right to conduct its own due diligence on any potential finalist and/or winner and reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant based on such a background check.
GENERAL RELEASE/LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
By participating in the Competition, each Entrant shall indemnify and hold DHL, its parent and affiliate companies and each of their directors, officers, employees, representatives, and agents harmless from and against any claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Competition or with the acceptance, possession, use of or defect in any grant (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light). DHL is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by technical or human error or otherwise which may occur in the processing of entries in this Competition or in the running of this Competition. DHL will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other errors in these Terms & Conditions or in other materials relating to the Competition.
If for any reason, the Competition is not capable of running as planned, including but not limited to fraud, computer virus, worms, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical limitations or failures, human error, mistake or any other cause that in the sole opinion of DHL could compromise, undermine, corrupt or otherwise affect the security, integrity, fairness, administration, or proper conduct of this Competition, DHL reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition at any time and without notice.
DHL shall have no liability arising out of or in connection with the Competition. DHL shall have no liability for indirect or consequential loss. DHL accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be entered for any technical reason.
Notwithstanding the aforesaid the DHL does not limit or exclude its liability for:
i. death or personal injury caused by its negligence, or that of its employees, agents or sub-contractors; or
ii. any other act or omission, liability for which may not be limited under applicable law.
CONSTRUCTION, WAIVER AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
This Competition and the Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Each party agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, such determination shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision, and these Competition Rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.
Any specific waiver of any obligation hereunder by DHL does not constitute a general waiver of that obligation nor of any other obligation of Entrants.
DATA PROTECTION
DHL is committed to protecting participants’ privacy. Any personal information supplied by participants will be used according to DHL’s privacy policy, and be used lawfully transparently, in confidence and kept secure for no longer than necessary for the herein purpose in compliance with applicable Data Protection legislation. Participants will provide their express consent when entering the Draw whether they agree to be contacted by DHL for direct marketing purposes. Should participants agree to be contacted, their personal data shall be handled in accordance with the terms of this agreement and the privacy and data security policies of DHL. Acceptance of contact from DHL shall constitute acceptance of the terms of DHL’s privacy policy. DHL does not share, sell, transfer or otherwise disseminate your personal data to third parties, save for the purpose of administering this Draw and will not do so in future, unless required by law or unless you have given express consent to do so.

WINNER LIST
The name of the winner will be retained during the twelve (12) month period following the end of the Competition Period on 29 October 2018.
