Hi there, Having major problems with the computer, every 4 seconds a Program control ….low risk IEXPLORE is attempting to access the internet keeps popping up with a selection of permit once, always, block and block always option.

Can someone tell me in stuooopid person language what I can do to make it disappear please. Also I currently have Norton anti virus but it needs updating next week….what do you recommend (I will obviously need to uninstall Norton ….help!!) I have ran a virus program and nothing detected…..so can someone help????

So fed up I want to thrown the computer out of the window coz it is so slow and not responding properly ie key board misses out letters and spaces all the time….I constantly have to wait for it to catch up so that I can continue typing!!! The mouse is the same!!!!

    Hi Emma
Select permit always. It is your firewall letting you know that internet explorer is trying to access the internet... which is what you want to do.

As for the anti-virus, i would recommend AVG or find the sticky on this site which gives advice on AV

Hi Phil.....that is why it is annoying because I keep having to press the allow always and it still pops up every 4 secs (doesn't now coz I have moved the damn thing to the side of the screen so that I can go round it!!!!

I think I may need lots of quiet time to follow all of these instructions so THANK YOU everyone, keep the advice coming and I will have a look tonight when little ones are in bed :D THANKS x x x
