Hi,
I am selling land and need to verify my ID with Land Registry.
They want me to produce an original company search.
What does that mean?
3b. As to the corporation
Place ‘X’ in the appropriate box.
I confirm that the person whose identity I am verifying has produced to me:
UK company
(a) an original company search in respect of the corporation which is dated within the last
three months and which confirms that the corporation has not been dissolved; AND
(b) evidence of the individual's authority to represent the corporation[/U][/I][/U]

Are you selling as an individual or a corporation?
If individual, why are you completing form ID2?
If Corporation I assume a Company House search would suffice but suggest you check with your 'verifier'.0 -
I'm selling as individual to a ltd company which is mine. I'm selling to myself, but I was told I need to fill ID1 and ID2 forms.
How can I save or download a company search for them?0 -
Who told you? Your verifier? Why not also ask them what they need?
I suspect you are right: ID1 for you as individual seller plus ID2 for the company as purchaser.
Ask your verifier if the search from the link I gave you is sufficient. Are you using a solicitor or the LR as verifier?0 -
I'm using LR as a versifier
Thank you very much
I will ask them.0 -
I'm surprised the LR Rep has not added his tupponce-worth already - they tend to monior threads with 'Land Registry' in the titel.
But you could post here too:
