Our PPI and packaged account claims.

After 2 days we got a call back from LLoyds about the packaged accounts, the call was about 20 minutes and he said he could see on our account we were already covered for a lot of the benefits it offered (phone insurance etc). We had had to have the account to be able to have an overdraft and the following day we were refunded almost £1200!
Lloyds letters started to arrive a week later with something like 13 accounts with PPI! All with long forms to fill in. The phone calls have been constant. they are complaint calls, i only asked if i had had PPI so i have had to work out what account each letter was for while on the phone as there is just the last 4 numbers of account on the letter! Wanting to know if i spoke to a male of female when i took out a credit card 18 years ago, what it was for... I defiantly got flustered on the phone.
The only account i know we took out PPI on was a loan over the phone that she said we had to have in order to have the loan, i cancelled it the following month but even for that they are saying she has ticked that it was optional, well that wasn't what she told us! Not holding out much hope on those as anxiety gets the better of me on the phone.
The calls are that constant and repetitive that DH wont even answer his phone any more.
We have also had a letter from MBNA about DH Credit card. Apparently they sent out a letter in 2013 that we had 3 years to reply to so they wont look in to the claim, i can't remember any letter but for a long time i just didn't open any due to depression and anxiety and the mounting debt!. They have however honoured the plevin part to repay any commission and profit share above 50%. So should be getting about £170 refunded in the next 28 days if i've read it right. Does that mean there is no point in chasing the rest of the PPI? I remember the PPI being on his statements and thought it had to have it,then all of a sudden it just stopped being on the statements.
Sorry for all the rambling. I am hoping by following our claims it might help someone else with any claims and which companies are easier to talk to.

Just opened the post and a letter has arrived for DH PPI, he got an email to say they had made a decision a few days ago without any extra information so wasn't holding much hope. They are repaying the PPI on 3 loans within the next 28 days. a whole £3388!! (minus the £400 tax they've deducted). I'm still shaking!LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

You should be able to claim back the interest using form R40 unless you have already earned £1000 (lower rate tax payer) this tax year
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Yes indeed, the tax paid on the interest, OP would get back the interest they lost :PSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
