I have recently put my house on the market for sale and moved into a rented accomodation - what options are there available for me to obtain a short term loan against the house until its sold.
Unfortunately due to an illnes I am now on benefits

Well mortgages are usually minimum of 20 year term I think. Though if you took one out on standard variable rate, that had the option to pay it off early, you could pay it off after 6, 12 months I guess.
Maybe post over on the loans forum?0 -
