County Court defence v Gladstones claim
Comments

The bailiff won't , not on a warrant of control
If they've missed the deadline, apply for a warrant of control. Keep copies of your account statement showing no payment in case they have hit a delay and it shows up later.0 -
Great news, Gladstones have finally paid... 8 days after having said the monies were electronically transferred and being put to strict proof, miraculously the payment arrived on my account this evening
Thank you again for all your support :T0 -
So, one might surmise, they lied...
Very glad you extracted money from them though. All good! :TPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I have had a similar request for tickets from the apartment block where I live saying they intend to file a claim soon -
There are four tickets and these were not attached to the car at the time
I do not have the funds to pay these at present,.as I live and own an apartment at the block a I would hope that management may be able to help or arrange a reduced fee it. Currently stands at 640 pounds and simply so not have the funds to pay at present0 -
Is it worth contacting gladstones to negotiate a reduced fee or is this a waste of time?
Any assis would be great appreciated0 -
It's a waste of time trying to negotiate.
Defending the claim is how to get it lower than £640 because the PPC can only recover £400 (if the PCNS were £100 x 4) plus about fifty quid court fees - and that's only if you lose.
99% of people here who stick around and follow all advice, win. Have done consistently for some two years now.
And the 1% who lose (of those who attend a hearing - as per our clear advice) pay less than the claim by pointing out to the Judge that the fact the claim is inflated by £60 per PCN and more.
You need to read the NEWBIES thread post #2, and learn how to win.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
