Like I said, wait for CEC16 to add it to his thread this week (you need to read his thread):
Attach a copy of DJ Grand's Order, and in fact wait a day as I asked CEC16 to add the 11th November Order (much more thorough I'm sure, although I haven't seen it yet) to his thread this week. Use that one if you can wait for it to be posted.

A defence is emailed so can be done on 16th if that's your deadline and you didn't do the AOS too early (i.e. not sooner than day 5). And yes you'd be attaching your defence and DJ Grand's latest Order that CEC16 is going to ask his wife to post on his thread later today.

I tried to search for CEC16's thread, I couldn't find it.

    Is CEC16 the full username?

EDIT: Found the thread. Unusually CEC16 doesn't come up when searching by username in the forum search function.

I assume CEC16 could not post DJ Grand's Order yesterday. In which case, can I just file my defence and worry about that in the WS stage? I really need to get something filed today while I have easy access to a printer.

Did the CCBC write to you telling you they were sending your Defence to the Claimant?

Did that letter tell you that the Claimant had 28 days to decide whether to proceed or not?

The wheels of justice may not move as fast as you'd like.
  • No response yet so I called the CCBC.

Basically they said the claimant has not responded to the defence so the case is now stayed, or frozen as I am led to believe.

I asked how long the case can be in this state and they said indefinitely. I asked how they can unfreeze the claim and the guy said they have to pay a fee of £100.

I am guessing it won't be in their interest anymore to unfreeze so I can assume I won't be bothered by them about this anymore.

    Don't assume.

Keep ALL the paperwork in case they prove that they did reply to the courts - we often see cases proceed anyway. It may well happen.
