Already complained to Yorkshire or Clydesdale Bank? PLEASE READ

I complained to Yorkshire Bank (who I'm told also own Clydesdale Bank) back in 2016, and again in 2017. The claims management firm I used wrote to the Yorkshire Bank PPI information service to ask them for details of all PPI I had with them. They told the claims management firm I had 2 loans and a credit card with PPI and some other stuff that they were unable to tell me if I had PPI unless I complained. The claims company complained about all of these and I got a refund for all of them.
I was sure I had more loans than the bank had told me about so earlier this year I used a different claims firm and they again wrote to them asking for details of any PPI I had. Because I was sure I held more loans the claims comapny put in the complaint that they wanted the bank to look for any PPI I held from the point at which I became a customer with them.
The claims firm told me that these banks held records that they did not always look at unless asked and there may be more PPI in there so I needed to ask the bank to look at everything from the point I first became a customer
They found an extra 3 loans and I received another few grand back that I was owed
I think its ridiculous that they dont look at all their records when they are asked for details of PPI held. If they dont tell us about everything then how can we be certain that we get refunded for everything we should
I told my partner and they also out in another complaint asking them to look into everything since they became a customer. They received more money back as the bank told them about more loans than they did on the first complaint. It looks like the extra was only refunded because he was clear that they were to look at everything from all our time as customers
Based on what happened to us if youve already complained to them but not asked them to look at everything youve had since you became a customer you may not have received all the money back you are due. If you think you had more then you need to complain again but you need to tell them to look at everything from when you became a customer and not just whatever limited looking it is they do normally

Stop using claims companies and ask them directly.
Do a SAR if you're not sure you've remembered everything.0 -
Thanks. The claims co did a request for information and didnt get told about everything in the response from the Yorkshire. Even if I didn't use a claims company I am sharing this so that others know that they need to specifically ask them to look at everything from the whole time they were a customer.0

No, what people who read this need to know is that claims firms are a disgrace, they rip you off charging 30-40% of your refund for using the same free complaint process that you can use yourself and clearly they aren't even capable of asking a simple question such as whether you had any other products, and you gave them thousands of pounds for such incompetence... You were miss-sold PPI, you were miss-sold a claims firm, do you see the pattern here?Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
