You are lucky because most even reasonable ones usually expect people to use it.

AIUI, They've absolutely no right to demand people use one website over another. It sounds like a local 'issue' or attitude to me.

You can still use other sites but they wont allow people to not have an account and not use findajob. I even get told i must log in to it everyday.

    tomtom256,

Some people are extremely gullible. If you think UC has been invented to actually constructively help people you are deluded. Its a control freak of a system all about the stick and no carrot. If you want to play yes sir 3 bags full sir go right a ahead.:T

"Where a claimant has done all that could reasonably be expected of them – for example they
have applied for all suitable jobs and undertaken all the activities set out in their Claimant
Commitment - this will be considered sufficient even if the time taken was less than their
    expected hours. "

"76. We cannot specify to a JSA claimant how they provide us with records of their
    jobsearch activity"

"194. The JSA Regulations do not specify that claimants must keep written records of
    their job search."

ok that's me done here.Look up the regs and you will see what's required/acceptable to show as evidence for jsa and uc etc.

UCvet - would be helpful if you would confirm what document you are quoting from.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

JSA legislation is totally different to UC legislation as are the requirements.

My posts are to do with UC requirements so quoting JSA requirements is pointless as the two benefits rely on completely different legislation and law.

As a daily practitioner I think I know what I am doing. Just because people don't know what they can/can't do, doesn't change what I posted.

An issue existing in this area is that while it has uc many are still on jsa. The problem is that work coaches are like robots and are in uc mode and often apply uc conditionality to people still on jsa.

    JSA & UC legislation differ.
It is mistake to conflate the two with the vague phrase " for jsa and uc etc"

What JSA legislation / document are you quoting from?
Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.

And requirements for legacy JSA and new style JSA differ also (I think).

Do you know what are the main differences?
