U-Switch to new deal - Same Supplier (N-Power)

I am on dual fuel with N-Power where my fix ends tomorrow.
I found a better deal through U-Switch and coincidentally that was still with N-Power so I thought even better (less confusion or chances of a problem!).

I looked at N-Powers own alternative tariff quote offerings and the deal with Uswitch was not shown so I went ahead through Uswitch on 7th August 2018. The email from USwitch confirmed my new plan details (Broker Exclusive Fix August 2019) yet its now 30th August and I have heard diddly from N-Power apart from an email kindly telling me my old fix ends tomorrow.

Whats my next best move - are N-Power likely to be tardy on moving me to this deal as I am an existing customer?

Should these switches take this long? It is now day 23. The monthly price difference is £18 so the new fix is quite a saving over a year and essentially keeps my current bill from rising under their new standard Tariff.

Your existing supplier will probably keep you on your existing tariff until it ends, and then transfer you to the new tariff you requested.
    i.e. tomorrow. (or possibly Saturday)

Is that correct that what you paid last year under your fix really was over £200 more than you expect to pay this year on this new tariff???

expiring monthly is £42 new tariff would have put me to £60 but the broker fix deal puts me at £41 a month.

checked all the nitty gritty and the only downside I did spot was £30 exit fees for gas and leccy but ill worry about that in a years time as I could stay with NPower again.

You won't get exit fees if you change in the last 49 days of your fix term.
  • well i called them up. they said the switch was a sale not a tariff change so they cancelled it! whatever that means......
anyway they tried to help. they said my estimated usage was much higher than the usages I have on my last full year bill. my usage hasnt decreased or increased yet they insist my new usages will be considerably more than the usages of 2017/2018. crazy and infuriating.
i am convinced they go on estimates all the time to simply baffle and confuse us into paying more.
    not happy.
