If you're talking about a dual-socket 12N/12S or 13-pin kit, then - yes, absolutely. Because among the pins are +12v ignition-live charge feeds to a caravan's leisure electrics. (12S - pins 2/4/6, 13-pin - 9/10/12). Hard to do that without a feed from up front.
