Cover insurance for electric boilers

Hi
I live an an electric only flat (no gas supply). There is a water boiler which I suppose must be using electricity. I have an electric and drainage insurance from HomeServ for very low initial subscription rates (covering water drainage issues and electrical faults only). I called them to ask if I can buy a cover for the electric boiler. They said they don't cover electric boilers.
Where can I find one? Please could you help suggest.
Regards

I would self fund...
Find out the average life of your boiler, subtract the age it is now, and divide the replacement cost by the number of months.
Save that amount every month, then hopefully you should have cash in hand when boiler needs work.0 -
If you mean copper immersion tank then they will last 25+ years you can normally get leaks holes etc repaired, Unfortunately the elements ( old tended to last 10 - 20 years) the new unless you spend £100s on them will last a year- two
Or electric central heating boiler systems unfortunately there absolutely terrible in terms of running cost £0.80 -£2 per hour , reliability its non existent (basically giant electric showers not designed to run for hours at a time,) parts all apart from the ones you’ll need …? Get Gas natural, calor etc you maybe able to get the complete installation free system free google free boiler schemes see if there are any in your you qualify for?0 -
thank you very much
the flat is electric only (no gas connection)
there is an electric immersion heater (sorry i can't differentiate between copper immersion tanks or electric boiler systems)
yes it is expensive to run and the other thing is if you have more than two proper showers you will have to turn on the booster (peak rate) for an hour or two for shower
the only other way is to install an electric heater for shower and turn on the existing electric boiler say once or twice in a week for hot water to kitchen i suppose
any way i am trying to insure this electric boiler, do you think there is any option to insure it? can't find a provider, most only insure gas boilers. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
