    On a practical note (because, while getting compensation is good, getting better is better), I found that Pilates exercises were the turning point in my recovery.

    Thanks for the tip, I actually normally do Pilates 3-4 times a week but haven’t been able to do my regular routine while my shoulder is still aching... I keep trying tho. The amount of people who have said they’re still in pain even years later is really worrying. :(

    If "the guy" is from Admiral then remember that he has a vested interest in persuading you to accept their offer so you should take his warnings about how terrible life will be if you don't accept it with a grain of salt.

    If you have legal cover then you have nothing to lose by using it and getting an unbiased opinion on whether the offer is a fair one.
