Cancelled switch a week ago
Hi
I switched to Bulb but within 14 day’s realised I’d moved from EDF to a variable not a fixed deal so I cancelled. I also called EDF AND bulb to confirm this and both were great.
However I’m about to miss out on EDF’s latest fixed offer because the MSE energy club hasn’t amended my account such that I can’t select this EDF Adela which ends tomorrow Wednesday.
I emailed the energy club before bank holiday but heard nothing yet. Any ideas please?
Thanks.

Just make a new energy club account or use uswitch https://www.uswitch.com/gas-electricity/
You can go through Quidco if you use Uswitch to get £36 Cashback.0 -

Took advice went via uswitch but told I need a smart meter conditional on acdeptingnyhis deal. I said no and that’s because smart meters are incompatible between providers. First time I’ve heard of this is uswitch trying to push me down this road as they say they cannot proceed unless I agree to a smart meter. Name and time of call taken and phone call recorded by uswitch. Any advice welcomed. Thanks0

A lot of the better deals out there are now conditional upon having a smart meter and there'll be many more in the future. Ultimately you end up paying more if you refuse to have one.
Legally they cannot force you have a smart meter but they are within their rights to be selective about what deals they'll offer if you don't want one.
If you don't want or won't accept a smart meter then you won't be able to take advantage of the better deals, it's your choice.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
