PCN Hackney Council

HI All,
I today (28/08/18) received a PCN for displaying the incorrect date on my visitor permit in Hackney.
I was in a rush to see my grandmother as she was unwell and stupidly put tomorrows date (29/08/18) on the ticket and thus came out to see a PCN on the car
I have 2 photos of the ticket, one with it being torn into pieces so that it cannot be used again tomorrow.Which I have emailed to myself to get a sort of time stamp on the destruction of the ticket.
I tried to upload them onto the Hackney Council Website but surprise surprise it times out when you finally try to submit your evidence.
Is this worth challenging or am I fighting a loosing battle? There are plenty of signs stating that it is a resident permit area, and I do have visitor permits just stupidly put the wrong date!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Take this to pepipoo for best advice

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I think this will be won in the end, with pepipoo forum help. Sounds like the sort of appeal where the Council should use their discretion, an you've made it clear you can't re-use that ticket tomorrow, a very honest appeal. Is this worth challenging or am I fighting a loosing battle?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
