UK Car Park Management Ltd PCN

Hi everyone

I'm new here and this may be repeating what has already been discussed on other threads but I need some help with the PCN i've received from UK CPM

Back in Feb 2018, I parked at a car park run by UK CPM. I had an hour's appointment and I tried to pay the parking fee for an hour but the pay and display machine swallowed my money without giving me a ticket and trying to download the suggested app didn't work so I left a note on my car stating the machine wasn't working

In between then and now, I have moved out of my home for personal reasons and have only recently got access to my mail dating back a few months. Going through this, I find letters stating my parking contravention from from UKCPM and the latest one, which is from Gladstone Solicitors.

Again, sorry if this has already been covered in other threads and I tried to look at the Newbies thread but I'm a bit unclear on where I should start now - should I challenge the ticket by going back to UKCPM or wait for the court letter from Gladstone? Do i even have a fair case to challenge it?

Thanks in advance

If you haven't already done so, you need to advise DVLA of new address for your driving licence and V5C (registration documents).
Read the Newbie sticky for advice
Check the dates on the - presumably - notice to keeper that you have received and see if you are still in time to appeal. If not, you need to advise whoever is chasing you for payment of your address so that you do not miss any LBA/LBC/LBCC or court papers.

To whom does the Gladstones letter tell you to pay?

Does its reference number commence 1xxx, 3xxx, 4xxx or 5xxx?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

You need to write to tell them your proper address for service of the claim form, then defend it when that arrives, or reply to any LBCCC when that arrives to your actual address once you have informed Gladys about it.

DO NOT leave them with the old address or you could get a CCJ behind your back.
Do i even have a fair case to challenge it?
Always. Why do people even ask this when they are on a forum where we see 99% of defended cases reported as won by the poster?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
