MIB won't be able to help as you can't identify the driver and you haven't suffered an injury.
  • I have got whiplash and back injuries, it was a quarter of a tonne trailer! Ive been off work for two weeks

Do you have Any witnesses/photos/other evidence?? Have you got the CCTV recording you mentioned?

You can either approach MiB directly or consider a specialist injury claims firm to deal with the mib
  • Yes, yes and yes, although the witness who saw everything is now not talking which is frustrating, however, I have CCTV from a neighbour which should help. The trailer was stolen from a very well known large government contractor and there will be two police reports, mine and theirs, I am hoping this should help verify none of this was my fault in any way, I have put in a claim to the MIB myself, would it be better to instruct a PI firm at this stage?

I apologise, I misread your first post, I had it in my head the car was hit whilst parked. In that case, MIB is your best bet.

In PI claims it's always recommended to have your own legal representative dealing with the other side for you unless you really know what you are doing!

No harm in speaking to a PI specialists now but point out that you already made the claim

No probs, I was actually in the car at the time, pretty traumatic stuff, the loonie smashed into me and drove off.
