Reclaiming PPI after divorce

My mum and dad are divorced and both have said I can claim back PPI owed to both of them from previous personal loans, joint loans and their joint mortgages. I am not sure if you can have PPO for life insurance policies also?

So the agreement is that whatever money os awarded of any is to be shared evenly between me, and my brother and sister. My mum and dad dont want to go through all the past finances etc as it was something they fell out over during the divorce. Is it possible for both my parents to sign a document giving me the permission to apply for the PPI myself? I could go with a company but scared they may take 50% whixh is way too much.. i could deal with 25% but even that is steep.

Also for me personally i have always stuggled balancing the books and for about 5 years i depended on payday loans. Ive heard that I may be able to claim back the interest on these loans as they were given when i was in financial hardship. I also used to regularly get bank charges of about £20-£30 which I have never chased up. The reason I have never done this is because I did a DRO which is similar to bankruptcy so wasnt sure if I would be able to claim back for debts which some have been written off. I did the DRO about 4 years ago and there is about another 2 years before it is off my record and I can start building my credit again.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Joe

Tell them to send their complaints in, stating why they were mis sold. You can't just 'apply' for it.

Asking you to guess at it is madness. And using a claims company takes the madness to a whole new level.

You can't get redress for anything pre bankruptcy.

What is PPO? (is that a typo for PPI). Assuming you mean PPI then no you cant. Life assurance is not a debt.

You can go to the banks website and fill in their complaint form and send it off. That way, no one needs permission for anything. You just exaplin to them how to do it, and they or you fill in the complaint for them.
As for payday loans, go to the debt free wannabe forum, there is a sticky about complaining about payday loans.

Just one thing. There is no 'application for a refund'
What you are doing is saying that it was missold and you are making a complaint, not a claim. SO, for that, you need complaint reasons.

WHo did they have credit with, when was it sold, who sold it ot them andwho was the company. Find those things out and you're in a better position to complan. Come back if you need more help.
