Excellent! Thank you.
My daughter loves curried cous-cous with veg, so this will make a bit of a change....
Does it taste different to cous-cous, or is it much of a muchness?0 -

In Holland and Barrett you can get millet in either flakes or grains. Which one is meant to be used in this recipe?
I use the grain for this recipe,0 -
My sister has just emigrated to Thailand and so I have inherited the remains of her kitchen cupboards!
Loads of thai stuff and tins which is great, but she also had a bag of Millet!
What do I do with it apart from buy a parrot and feed it to him!!?0 -
It can be boiled up and used as an alternative to the "cheese" part of a vegetarian cheesecake...and is rather good...I haven't made one in nearly a year so would have to have a dig around in the recipe books to give you a clearer idea on method. Will try my best not to forget.

I'm not sure how to cook it, but the recipes must be out there, a savoury 'bake'. I've often bought it from the 'Infinity Food' cafe in Brighton. Absolutely delish.

There are some ideas here. Let us know how they go, I've never made millet things myself and wouldn't mind having a go.0 -

I was gonna say that I am a veggie, but then I realise you mean to feed the millet too, not to eat with the millet!!0 -

The plan was to eventually eat the chicken. Under the circumstances, you could keep it just for the eggs, though. However, I concede that the fatal flaw in all of this is that - either way - we are probably going to need a bigger bag of millet. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
