Morning Everyone,
So glad to hear Mr TA is feeling better.
Sunny today, so a small load in the WM. Got the single bed out of our middle room yesterday, so I can bring the one from DM's house.
Hopefully get to see DM today - hoping she is in a good mood. I have not managed to visit for a while. Will take OH with me. On way to visit may pop into MR T's to get some more storage boxes, to take to house on Wed.
It is our SC meal tonight.
Hope you all have a good day.I am a Senior Ambassador on the Competitions Time Board and the Old Style MoneySaving Board.

Morning all
Have been up a while I have showered and stripped the beds and got them onto wash, its a bit dismal outside so they can go on the airer.
Yesterday it rained all day and was quite chilly I did think about lighting the fire but it really was not cold enough, I cant wait to light it though and be all cosy
.
I made a roast yesterday with a sage onion and pork stuffed chicken from Aldi it was really tasty and I would buy another one, I did extra roasties and veg so tonight's dinner is already done, just need to do some gravy.
Going to nip over to dd's in a while she has a built in wm but the door has come off so OH will put that back on for her, we have to clear the garden a bit too for the men starting on Wednesday.
:bdaycake: Happy Birthday to Rosyred I hope you have a lovely day xx
TA Im so glad Mr TA had turned a corner yesterday lets hope the improvement continues xx
Did Mean Marie say she was away on holiday ??
Have good days all xxx0 -
Hello all,
Strangely this morning I didn't have to log in, anyone else ?
It's very grey today but it was dry when I put the WM on...... honest ! Now it's mizzling and cold . Oh well the washing will have to go on the airer if it doesn't dry up. I have also emptied the DW and filled it back up, what and exciting day so far. Mustn't knock it I don't get many of those sort :rotfl:.
The beef yesterday was mouth wateringly tender, but I did put it in the slow cooker with gravy. I didn't want to take the chance of me ruining it by oven cooking, as it was it shrank to almost half size . Had an unusual afternoon entertainment though as we had a debate on sky v the bbc, then the "free " NHS, the government and child benefit . Well Dad started it and I think he wished he hadn't by the time we finished :rotfl:. Normally he makes a statement about people ruining this country ( R Murdoch esp, poor man gets the blame for lots of things, I have no idea why Dad does not like the man ! ) and we don't comment but we did yesterday, I think he was surprised that someone had a different point of view and was willing to debate. Don't think he will go down that road any time soon :rotfl:. But it was all done in a genial manner
. The film was not very good anyway so this was a nice distraction
.
Today I need to finish scraping the shed door, if the weather does what the weatherman says, but it's not playing by his rules at the moment :rotfl:. There is only about 18 inches left at the bottom to do but I have to sit on the step outside to do it and it's cold. There's plenty of tiding up inside for Mr Fix It to do :T ( that will keep him out from under my feet for a while
)
Tea tonight will be jacket potato with gammon steak and peas. There is a doughnut left from yesterday and as they were so big, we can share.
TA I'm glad that MR TA is feeling more himself. I hope that things keep moving in the right direction and I'm sure that you will feel better about that. Have some more hugs from me, but you're probably drowning in them by now. Take care of yourself too xx
Nelski my friend, why am I not surprised about the prosecco
BTW what's a !!!!!! star martini when it's at home ? No better not tell me, I probably shouldn't know anyway
:whistle::whistle:
Rosyred hope you have a lovely birthday :bdaycake:
Hugs to all those who are in need or want them.
I'd better go Mr Fix It is waving at me through the patio doors. I think he's inviting me to help him. Shall I just wave back and then not move ? :rotfl::rotfl:
Sorry for the essay, feel free to mark it out of 10

ROSYRED Happy Birthday from me too. Sorry,I am a bit behind with keeping abreast of things at the moment.
I got up after my first decent sleep for a few nights all raring to go but sadly my get up and go has gone. Extreme tiredness swept over me after my breakfast and I have done absolutely nothing. Maybe if I get another decent sleep tonight I will have caught up a bit more and might feel a bit livelier tomorrow.
Surprise phone call this morning. Ex son in law would like to visit Mr TA if that's ok! Of course it is I said so he is popping along this afternoon, bringing eldest DGD with him for moral support!
Just going to make up a couple of ham salad bagels. One for lunch with some soup before I leave and the other to take with me to the hospital to have with a coffee when we are thrown off the ward between 5 and 6! Might treat myself to a ready meal from the M & S food outlet to warm up for supper when I get home xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Good Morning,
Very wet here, still it's what we were all praying for a few weeks ago :rotfl: I need to go and wash my hair as I got soaked while out dogwalking
Many thanks for the kind birthday wishes.DGS 'helped' me to open my cards and presents and I've been very lucky
Nelski, it was my friend who was going to see James's show at the festival today. She rang me this morning to say her DS girlfriend is not going with her to see James now, and did I want the ticket, but I had to say we'd made plans to meet our friends so couldn't use it
I have a pork joint in the sc for later,DH will do some roasties. Sticky toffee pud for after - well it is my birthday after all
I'm going to have a browse on Amaz**n now as I got some vouchers for my birthday.
Hope everyone enjoys the BH,and TA hope there is further improvement in Mr TA when you visit today, just seen your post above, not a problem-you have had much more important things to do xxx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.:whistle:
its basically loads and loads of passion fruit juice (think 5 a day) with a bit of vodka and prosecco
Ill make you one one day
Glad the beef was good and Dad sounded very well behaved ...lucky you T minus 24hrs for my weekly ear bashing x0 -
Hoppy Birdday Rosyred
Hoping Mr TA continues to improve; I'm not surprised you're exhausted, TA - you've had a lot or running around to do, added to being mentally put through the wringer. Try and make some time for you if you can.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi everyone
Its a bit warmer here than yesterday but quite cloudy...yesterday was really quite cold. Going to stay at the airport tonight, but not leaving till half past 6, so a bit of a hanging-around sort of day. My flight is at 6.15 tomorrow morning and I should be in the sunshine in Majorca by 10....really looking forward to sitting in warm sunshine.
Had a nice lazy morning reading my Sunday Times and sorting last few bits. I'll go down to my mam and dad's later for a cuppa and a chat.
Hope everyone has a good day0
