    As OP says he is intending to claim UC assumed he had already checked this.
    Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

    Yep but rent prices in London for a 1 bedroom flat start from around £900, I'm actually working part time at the moment. My normal salary would come to £1833.33 per month and even on that I would need a guarantor or pay 3 months in advance. The flat is just temporary for the moment as contract is 5 months. The rent is also inflated because it's a shorter term contract.
