Hi everyone,
I am looking to take out Home Emergency Cover to cover things like emergency issues with blocked toilets and electrical issues. I was hoping to find one that would cover external guttering and rainwater downpipes etc as part of the roof/drainage cover. Does anyone know of a company that includes this in the cover please?
Best Wishes

You're going to struggle. How would damage to a down pipe constitute an emergency?0

Allianz used to cover it until earlier this year when it pulled out of direct insurance in the U.K.
if the gutters break, water can damage the external property walls or cause water ingress I guess.
Thank you for your input 🙂0 -
I agree, but you'd have ample time to repair it when the rain stopped before it caused a significant problem, and if there was a sudden ingress then that'd be a storm claim anyway.0

perhaps get gutters cleaned regularly? and have a guttering tradesman on speed dial"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"
