Saniflo Runs When Other Drains not Attached Are Used...

I have a bit of a weird issue with my Saniflo. I recently moved into this house, and the previous owners had installed a downstairs bathroom with a Saniflo in the past year. The Saniflo feeds to a main drain pipe that goes to my kitchen sink and laundry room. The weird thing is, when I run those drains, the saniflo kicks on in the basement for a second or two. And it seems to backfeed into the toilet, which creates quite a stink. My thought is that there is an issue with the drain back valve.

Difficult to know without more detail. What type of Saniflo is in the basement and whats the pipe layout etc. If pipes are routed and connected correctly there should be no drain back to the basement.
I have fitted Saniflo and a lot of Grundfos products but not had this problem.Thoughts:
