Probably the wrong place .I have a place rented out .I need new smoke detectors .The electrician has given me two options .
1 hardwired throughout ,but that involves lifting floors .
2 wireless connected to the mains.
Has anyone used wireless smoke detectors .

Wired to the mains electricity but communicating to each other using radio? They should work fine as long as they are close enough and the signal can propagate.
I have some that do that. When one goes of it signals to the others start a couple of seconds later.
unless of course there is any stipulation for landlord that they must have hardwired signalling, I wouldn't know.0 -
Which country are you in? The tenancy laws vary.0
