Find out who the FITs provider is, and call them and ask what their process is, and precisely what info / documents they need to be able to transfer it to you.0

Bought the lease today £10,300 inc vat now just got to get it signed over and the fit forms filled in they are with Eon, does anyone have some good fact sheets i can show to buyers to convince them my home is better than others without solar, i done what merlin said a put a pin in my house it says with 1.88 kWh system on roof at 35 Degree 2100 kwh per year but i need something to show that in money not just kwh as i know mine was a high payment in 2011.. Also how often do Eon make payments for the fit ?0

£2100KWh per year, at the present FIT rate (original systems) of just over 50p per KWh is an annual income of £1100, paid quarterly usually.
If the FIT contract started in 2011 and was for 25 years, there will be 18 years left to run, so the buyer can look forward to £20K or thereabouts in the remaining period of the FIT contract.
I don't know about EON, my FIT is with SSE and they pay me quarterly by cheque. They seem incapable of making a bank transfer.0 -
Scottish power pay direct to my account, my panels were fitted Nov23rd 2011 and have produced 14622 so far, slightly bigger capacity than yours. 2.25 off the top of my head..face east in wiltshire, no shade and I have received total payments of 7250...so your figures of another 18k to come seems about rightNo.79 save £12k in 2020. Total end May £11610
Annual target £240000 -

Hello Biccus1 and welcome to the Forums.
FIT payments are made quarterly. Once we receive valid meter readings, payments are made within 10 working days.
The date you need to let us have readings will be shown on your FIT plan. This will be in the Welcome Pack we send when first registering with us. We know it's not always possible to send us readings on the exact date so there's a reading window. This opens 14 days before the expected reading date and closes 7 days afterwards. Provided you give us a reading within this window and we've validated it, you'll receive the payment for that quarter.
We've specialist teams who look after all things FIT and they'll be happy to help. Contact details are on our website along with some dedicated FIT pages with more information. You can also manage your FIT account online including being able to send us your readings this way.
Hope this helps Biccus1. Let me know if you need any more information as happy to help.

That's fantastic news. Did you have to negotiate this price and was the company particularly difficult to deal with? From earlier posts it looked as though it was going to be double that.
I'm interested as I'm also in Norfolk and will be looking to buy our first house in the next 12-18 months. I've seen a few nice properties which have solar panels and would have previously been wary of the rent a roof schemes but it's really encouraging that the buy out can be *relatively* inexpensive.0 -

Hello Biccus1, I should of been moving last week but solar panels have held everything up!! Mine are leased and buyer for mine has said mortgage company won’t have anything to do with Anesco, I believe same people who are maintaining yours. Can you help please? Did you sell in the end? Did you buy them from Anesco? How much? I’m so stressed out with it, I am in the process of buying another house to move to from the sale of this one but fear I will loose it as as I’ll be stuck here for ever with these solar panels!!! Any help from anyone would be fantastic. All this was dropped on me 5.15 two days ago, I will contact my lawyer tomorrow and Anesco! HELP!0

Hi
I never did sell the house, the estate agent said it would be hard to sell so i took a jan and bought the panels for just over 10k, we done what the agent said and put the 10k on the asking price. After 3 months i had one viewing for them to say oh my mother has solar panels but she rents the roof out so we would have been happy without you buying.. They then hit me with a 20k price drop on the property which i could not do so we took off the market and having payment now from gov for roof panels, getting about £1200 per year.. With the rent a roof you will struggle to get a buyer as some people don't like at all and some mortgage companies won't touch them ... We are in a good position now as we only pay £900 per year for our elec and gas as we only use washing machine etc when daylight, but we claim £1200 a year from roof ...so we get free energy and cash in the bank to help pay the 10k loan back.. Mine were Fretricity but they were so hard to get i think they just run the phone from home. Im glad i bought them as it was stressing me thinking i was going to get a buyer then get stuck in contracts but ow worse case i can rip them down if i want ... Hope you get sorted0
