If you prefer a Pay as You Go meter then you need to contact your electric\gas supplier who will arrange this for you.
NIHE don't do this for you.donnac2558 wrote: »I am rather strange, I have an easysaver card as it is known. So I just pay a set amount each month and when the bills come in they are paid.
When enquiring the only one who did this was Electric Ireland and I moved to them. So I cannot do a proper comparison as the other companies don't do this.
I am NIHE and never offered a key meter.0 -
Just a wee reminder for anyone who opened an account/moved to Electric Ireland around a year ago.
I just got a bill, which rang a distant bell and prompted me have a closer look at my account.
I found the email from when I signed up, and it mentioned the £50 sign up credit, but NOT a £25 retainer which I was sure was to be applied if I remained with the company for over a year. Turns out my anniversary was 2nd August, and there was no sign of the £25 credit on my account.
I just got off the phone with them and they admitted their mistake and applied the £25 immediately.
Thing is, I'm sure I read it in here and elsewhere online that others have been missing this payment, and I'm certainly not the first one to experience this... ahem, oversight.
Worth having a look at your account if you're in or around the 1 year anniversary.0 -
Yes, it seems it is up to you to phone and mention the £25. Mine is due in December and I forgot about it until I read this thread and an earlier post. Phoned up earlier this year and had it applied. They said it is better to phone up as they are very busy and it can happen the bonus is not applied to your account.0

They do not apply it unless you phone.
