Sky vs Virgin Media boardband

I have been with VM for ever but I am thinking of moving to Sky. I have two boys who play on Playstations every night and I am wondering how Sky compares to VM.

Will they see a difference in the broadband when they are online.

Currently have VIVID 200 Optical with VM.

Price is also important as my package is costing me £101 per month.
Full House Sports Bundle
VIVID 200 Optical Fibre
Talk Weekends

Thanks in advance for any help :)

They wont notice a thing. I have virgin media at 50mb and can play all games on xbox and ps4 without any lag or stuttering. If they download games it may take a little longer but nothing to complain about.

They might notice a difference between 200Mbps and 65Mbps !

I would first try and do a deal with VM. Don't mention the kids!

Tell them how much Sky is, if necessary go down to 100Mpbs and see if they can get close to the Sky price.

If the kids notice the difference between 100 and 200 (unlikely I hope) it will be easy to change it.
It won't be cheap to move between sky and vm

Don't forget sky will charge for a line connection. £65 ?
and charge for voicemail if you use that

SO I have just got off the phone to Virgin.

They tried to upsell me to a better package for £94 per month or same as I have now for £91 per month.

I will wait and see if I get a call from them ...

Did you get a better deal and did you stay with them?

No. The 2nd person said he could not get anywhere near and said I have found a really good deal. (NowTV £20)

The first person could only do a close deal for 6 months
