UKPC Pcn advice appreciated

Hi. About 3 months ago we received a pcn in a retail park, ntk a month late with photograph where we had parked outside the marked bay. My mistake as I hadn't seen the signs, and would not have been able to get child back in the car if someone had parked alongside us. didn't realise the advice had changed re not to ignore. I have read through the newbie threads re ignoring the debt collector letters. But the reason I am asking for advice now because I want to do something appeal wise... Such as contacting the landowner, which I have found difficulty in obtaining but seems like JLL manage the site. I have told them briefly over the phone that it is regarding a pcn, they said they can not usually intervene but to email detailing my complaint and they will get back to me. I am losing sleep and nerves, and do not know if I will be unlucky if it goes to court due to missing out on the appeal process, and with their 'evidence'. Appreciate advice. Thanks in advance.

  • Hello, you are asked to read the NEWBIES section which will answer all of your questions. Who is the PPC? that is important as some are more aggressive than others and it also depends whether they are affiliated with BPA or IPC, the latter one being don't bother appealing they almost always get rejected.

It makes no difference to your defence (if you have to defend it) whether you appealed or not regardless of what lies the PPC tell you.

It ukpc. I have read and it's such a great source of information, I have read lots of evidence people have used in small claims also. But don't know if I should be concentrating on the landowner, or appealing to ukpc.... (I don't think the latter) as I'm thinking now that as my Invoice is for parking outside marked bays, and they have photographs... Maybe I would have no chance taking it further. I have been reading alot on this forum, and I think I've got myself very confused.

Appealing to the landowner is your best bet at this stage.

Get the landowner to cancel it.
