Hi
I have a special meter purely for my electric underfloor heating which gives me cheaper rates at certain times of the day.
I have another meter for everything else electric in my flat.
I'm currently with EDF and they've just said my direct debit is going up to £166 per month ! How much electricity can someone use in a 2 bed flat !
The problem is, no other electricity companies seem to know anything about Warmwise.
Could I just swap to another company for the standard meter and leave the cheaper heating with EDF?
I feel like I'm under ransom and can't swap from them.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

A warmwise meter provides you with 8 hours of cheaper electricity.

No other supplier supports this type of meter, as you say.

Most suppliers do not support 2 MPANS (meters) either.

No, you cannot buy your electricity from 2 different suppliers at the same time.

However, you can ask EDF to change the meter to either a single rate or an E7 meter, and then you will be able to choose from the whole of market.
(Obviously neither of these meters would give you 8 hours of cheaper electricity per day, so you need to think carefully what you wish for)

Angela, did you manage to resolve your problem?
I'm having a similar problem with my Warmwise tariff and it's costing me a fortune.

I've been trying to get my meter changed to a standard variable or E7 but one advisor told me I couldn't, another told me I could but I'd have to have my flat rewired at my own cost because if the way the meter works.
I have underfloor heating and my hot water on the 'cheaper' rate but the cost is extortionate!!
I have one meter with 4 different rates.

It's so confusing even the advisors don't seem to know much about it!!

How would they .. .. know what is inside your home ?

I don't know, even you don't know my friend. It's even possible an electrician would not understand legacy underfloor heating/CU/wiring/etc.

Most sparkles installing pre 80's kit will be retired. Sorry I can't give you any better insight to your issues. Best of luck.
