Hi all,
My other half applied for a Barclays credit card yesterday but has since changed his mind on wanting it. Will this have an affect on his credit score? The application said he would hear back within 5 days when applying.
Thanks in advance

The score doesn't exist so don't worry. It will still show a credit search on his file though0

You can cancel the card or withdraw your application but that will not remove the search on your file. The score you have been given is irrelevant - every lender uses their own internal criteria based on the contents on your credit file - what matters most is your credit history. Multiple searches in a sort period of time generally are not looked at favourably, but the affect of them tends to decrease after 3-6 months or so, depending on the lender0
