I am 99% sure of this, but just want to check with all of you clever people.
If you open a joint savings account, does it DEFINITELY mean that both of you are covered up to £35,000 each if the worst happens?
Like many other people, I am a bit paranoid now, whereas I never gave it a thought before.
Thank you all in advance.

I had the same burst of paranoia a few weeks ago.
I had just satisfied myself that the answer was yes, ie both parties are covered up to the max, when the Daily Telegraph published an article stating the opposite! They then published a grudging correction a day or two later, blaming the error on information they had been given by the authority administering the compensation scheme!0 -

Thanks for that, so it is a definite yes then.Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -

I once saw a table saying which banks go with which banks in the FSA list, can anyone point that to me?0
